People who really know about caves become ecstatic about the
Aggtelek region of forests, rolling farmland and karst outcroppings,
north of Miskolc, up against the Slovakian border.
Here the Baradla Cave has been known for thousands of years;
the remains of the Stone Age spelunkers have been founded inside.
The original cave (barlang is the Hungarian word) is 22 kilometers
long, including a strech under the frontier into Slovakia, but
substantial additions have been found.
