Kôszeg is a quiet old walled town with many of the historic
buildings brightly redecorated. For the much of the way from
Nagycenk to Kôszeg the road parallels the Austrian border.
The frontier's proximity obviously affected the history of Kôszeg,
the scene of many a battle between Austrian and Hungarian armies.
